COLONNATA AND ITS "LARDO" (Salted pork fat)

Colonnata is an old village of Roman origin, located in the heart of the Apuan Alps, famous for its marble but also for the Lardo (Salted pork fat) which was the old quarrymen's meal. Today it is renown by gourmets all over the world. This excellent product which has the same white colour of Carrara marble is unique with its characteristic taste due to a long seasoning in marble basins, to the spices and sea salt, to the healthy mountain air and to a secret personal touch by the producers.
