WANDERING AROUND TUSCANY

VERSILIA - FORTE DEI MARMI - VIAREGGIO

Versilia is today the place of enjoyment as it was during the fabulous sixties and the Dolce Vita period. The never ending summer and everything that means holidays is still there. The sun, the splendid sea and the crazy Carnival which is among the most famous in the world are still there.

Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Camaiore and Viareggio are compulsory tourist attractions all year round. (10 - 12 Km)

TOWNS OF ART: FIRENZE, LUCCA, PISA

These towns are a due destination to discover three of the most precious jewels out of a rare collection. So much Tuscany, Firenze, Lucca and Pisa are valued. Firenze, known all over the world is one of the most important towns of art. Pisa, famous for its extraordinary" Miracle Square" and its legendary "Leaning Tower". Lucca, surrounded by powerful walls which protect its historical town centre. Worth seeing are the beautiful luxury villas on the hills around the town.

FIRENZE (FLORENCE)

Firenze surrounded by the hills of the Arno river valley, gathers in itself all forms of beauty and blends together both art and life.  

"Piazza Duomo", "Piazza Signoria", "Uffizi Gallery", "Ponte Vecchio" and "San Marco Museum" are a must when visiting the town. Actually, You only have to look around and You will find something worthwhile seeing at every step.  

Not far from Firenze You can visit the "Certosa" (Charterhouse), Impruneta which is a small town of Etruscan origin and three Villas of renaissance architecture which were the residences of the "Medici" family.

LUCCA

Lucca is a small very quiet town surrounded by XVI and XVII century walls.

It is a continuous show of churches and fine buildings. Important places to visit are: The Cathedral, San Michele's church, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Walk of the old town.

In the outskirts of Lucca You can visit Villa Reale di Marlia with its magnificent XVII century gardens and Villa di Camigliano a XV century building with gardens embellished by water games, grottos and water-lilies.

PISA

Pisa has famous medioeval monuments which remind You of its artistic splendour and of the power of the ancient Marine Republic.

You cannot miss "Piazza del Duomo" commonly called Miracle Square.

On the outskirts You can visit the "Certosa di Pisa" and a Roman basilica in beautiful gilded lime-stone at San Piero a Grado.
